Snake wrestling is one thing, but floating snake wrestling is something entirely different.

My brother wants me to play this game he used to play in high school called Ultima Online. Anyone use to play it back in the day :o?

I used to play, and I loved it. I am actually trying to figure out how to access it now. I can’t wait to get back into it.

TODAY IS THE DAY!!!! INTERNATIONAL FORT BUILDING DAY

We used to celebrate International Fort Building Day every April 14th. I don’t know what happened to it, but it would be supremely awesome if you guys would help me bring it back…

I call the dinner table! Castle idea!

Better than tire fort!

I think I want to build a hippy fort in the living room.

plainluck and i built our fort in the living room tonight. it was fun. i hope i have time to post pictures tomorrow. did anybody else do it? i’d love to see what you people came up with. i think our cat liked the fort more than anybody else. he ran in and out, and tore it down while we built it. anyhow, pics tomorrow. sleep tight.

Here is the outside view. It took 5 queen sized sheets, 2 lace curtains, a lot of rope, 2 broom sticks, 1 stick from the yard, 1 pool cue, 3 blankets, 2 couches and 7 clothes pins to construct.

This is our cat (in case you couldn’t tell) who enjoyed having a fort more than we did, but as cats do, pretended to be a snob for the purpose of documentation. He wouldn’t want anyone to know that he was enjoying himself.

This guy didn’t want to come all the way into the fort until snacks were offered up. I wonder if it was our fire pit (shown there in the left hand corner) that he feared.

However, this guy walked in like he owned the place and was more than happy to curl up by the fire and enjoy our french fries.

Here you see a very small pile of pillows for lounging. Located in the western corner.

Here is a view of the northern side of the fort.

This would be an eastern view. As you can see, our guest finally got over his fear, came in, and stuck his face right up to the fire.

Everyone found a good place to curl up and relax.

Much comfort was had by all, and we opened up the fort “door” and watched the sunset over the ocean.
